Megaphone fills a crucial gap in the progressive movement’s communications apparatus. As people increasingly look to family, friends, and influencers as their trusted sources of information, organic social media amplification dominates as one of the most important forms of civic communication and organizing. At the same time, algorithms trap users in ideological bubbles, making it hard for campaign messages to reach the voters who need them most.
The Megaphone grassroots amplification network breaks through online echo chambers and reaches voters through trusted messengers from their own communities, networks, and lives. Megaphone arms a network of over 25,000 volunteers with persuasive content to distribute through their social media accounts.
With over 18 million people reached with repeated, organic communication, Megaphone was the largest progressive content creation and distribution program in 2024. Megaphone is now a necessary part of the in-state infrastructure that drives communications and organizing for our movement.
